Westminster Church is located in the heart of Suffolk, Virginia. We hope to be an indispensable part of our community as we worship together, grow together and serve God by serving his world.

Our Vision

We are a community called to image Jesus Christ in his renewing of all things.

We believe that God is about the business of bringing renewal to the whole world. When he created all things in the beginning, he did not abandon his world and the people he created just because sin came in. Rather, he put in place a plan to rescue his people and to restore all of creation to what he intended it to be.

Because of that, we seek to partner with him, through faith in Jesus and his victorious death and resurrection to defeat sin and begin to heal the brokenness that sin has caused. That is how we bear his image in the world.

Our Mission

We image Jesus Christ by cultivating a Kingdom community and expanding the Kingdom presence.

One of the ways we image Jesus in the world is through the patient, persistent, loving work of cultivating a Kingdom community here at Westminster. We can do this through:

• Worship
• Education
• Discipleship
• Caring
• Shepherding
• Prayer
• Fellowship

In addition to the community God is building up at Westminster, we also bear his image in the world by expanding the presence of that kingdom throughout Suffolk, the greater Hampton Roads area and around the world. Some ways we accomplish this include:

• Planting churches
• Engaging culture
• Reaching out in mission and mercy
• Proclaiming the gospel
• Seeking justice
