Communities

We need partners on the journey that will know the struggles we fight to overcome and lovingly stand with us as we live into a new reality.

What are Communities?

Our Communities are the heart of connectedness at Westminster. While Communities are based on a similar family life stage or a common interest, you can attend any Community that is of interest to you.

In a Westminster Community you will find a place to connect, grow, and be cared for. These communities are groups of 20-70 people who typically meet on Sunday mornings for fellowship, prayer, and teaching; they may also meet in someone's home during the month.

Find where you belong. Here are our current groups:

  • Twenty-Somethings | Single adults 18-30 years of age
  • New Horizons | Mid-life singles and couples
  • Wisdom Seekers | Young families with or without children
  • Student Families | Families with children in Jr. and Sr. High
  • Sunday Morning Live | Adults of all ages
  • Bereans | Adults whose focus is on studying a book of the Bible
  • Logos | Adults of all ages

Can I join a small group?

We believe that life change most effectively takes place in the context of loving, caring relationships. So if you're interested in going deeper in your walk with Christ and would like to be a part of a small group, the community environment is the best place to connect with other men or women that you already have established a relationship with.

How will I be cared for?

Every community has one or more elders, deacons, and a care team who serve in those communities. Whether you need counsel, prayer, or meals during an illness, the people in your community are there to walk with you and help you.

What kind of teaching goes on in these communities?

Teaching is a very broad term for us. We think that people learn best in relationships where they feel safe and accepted. That's why learning in community is very important at Westminster. You may have interactive learning times in groups, a powerful lecture series with discussions, video lessons, or even "field trips" that allow your community to learn in a very hands-on way the truths of God's Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We hope that you'll join one of our communities and build lasting relationships as you grow in Christ in community.
