Eric and Lauren were born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Each came to faith in Christ in high school through the ministry of Young Life. Their heart for missions began to grow in their college years at the University of Maryland where Eric received a degree in psychology and Lauren in physical therapy. Eric then later studied at Chesapeake Theological Seminary in Baltimore where he received an M.Div degree. He also served on the staff of Chesapeake Seminary for three years as a time of preparation for taking an integrated model of seminary education into a cross-cultural context. Eric and Lauren began their ministry in Ukraine in 1998. During that time, Eric has been involved in church planting, discipleship, and leadership development and training on a variety of levels. Eric participated in the design and launch of the Evangelical Reformed Seminary of Ukraine, where he served as dean of students for four years. Eric now serves Ukraine asthe MTW Ukraine country team director and as the team leader in Kiev. Lauren has been involved in ministry to women and hospitality as she care for the family and team.
