My parents were instrumental in leading me to the Lord at an early age. Through a series of cross-cultural missions experiences God gave me a heart to work with people of different cultures. My call to missions was clarified and confirmed on a summer mission trip to Bolivia with South America Mission. After teaching in North Carolina for six years as a Special Education teacher, I felt led to answer that call. In 2004, I went to live in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as an Associate Missionary with South America Mission. God allowed me to use my gift of teaching to express my love for children and women of many different cultures and backgrounds.

I have now been five years in Bolivia, serving in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as a Member Missionary with South America Mission. For some time I have felt God’s leading to further my ministry outside of the school where I was teaching. In light of that, this term I am teaching Sunday School teachers, discipling women, teaching English at the Bible Institute, working with the children’s ministry, and continuing to teach part-time at the Learning Center.

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?
